Obituary Writing
The right words for your person are important.
Whether you're processing the passing of someone near you or preparing for a day to come, I know it's hard to find words that honor your person (or even yourself). Traditional funeral home services often include obituary writing, but sometimes they don't capture the essence of the life lived or what they meant to you. Hiring a professional writer means you will have a truly unique keepsake to share with your community, a piece crafted with skill and care.

Obituary for Your Deceased Loved One
Finding the right words while you're at the height of grief can be challenging. I provide compassionate, understanding service where I ask you about your person's life and listen with care as you tell me about what matters most. Some relationships are also complicated—I get that. We will work together to include what you feel is important to say to honor and respect your person's life, even when you have mixed or difficult feelings.

Obituary for the Pre-Planning Funeral Process
When my grandmother pre-planned her funeral, she wanted it to say more than where she lived and died, who she married, and what job she worked. She wanted it to tell her story—and she wanted a chance to read and approve it. If you are considering pre-planning your funeral and end-of-life services, I'm here to help. During this process, I can talk to you and/or your loved ones to listen to your story and gather what's important to you for your obituary.

Pet Obituaries
Pets are family. We share our home, our food, and our love with our pets, often for many years, and we grieve them deeply. These days, it's much more common to create an obituary for your pet, and you can use it however you see fit, whether that's posting it on social media or publishing it in the newspaper. As a pet person and a rescue volunteer, I would be honored to tell the story of your beloved pet's life.
